How can I lose hair dye fast?

Certainly stopping hair dyeing is no longer news, and perhaps it is not even a hot trend anymore. But it is a well-established choice that has now become part of habits when it comes to "hair management." There are women who, at some point, get tired of spending one afternoon a month - at the very least - touching up their regrowth. And so they decide to switch to their natural color, regardless of the amount of gray hair.
How to switch from dye to natural hair color
But beyond sociological observations, a prosaic question remains: how to manage the transition to white hair without looking dowdy? Is there a way to make the transition between dye and natural color pleasant? For blondes, the question does not arise; for redheads and browns, however, the risk of "two-color hair" is more than certain.
"Stopping hair dyeing requires precise steps to be decided based on the length, color and quality of the hair. Much depends on how convinced the client really is to switch to white hair, not least because it is not always possible to speed things up. Sometimes you have to radically change the cut, and sometimes you just have to shorten the lengths a little," says hair stylist Emanuele Didier of I Didier salon in Bologna.
Quitting dyeing is easier if your hair is short
With short hair, it is easy to quit dyeing, a fairly intuitive fact. If then the natural white hair is evenly distributed, the transition to natural color is even easier. But how to do it in practice?
"Let's imagine a head that has l 70-80% hair and a regrowth of 2 centimeters. We have 2 ways: either we cut the hair as much as possible to cancel the gap between old dye and regrowth, or we bleach it.
Is the decision made for the cut? To make the gray color look as even as possible, you should cut at least three-quarters of the total length. If, however, you opt for bleaching, it is important to understand how sensitized the hair is in order to proceed without risk.
In addition to these radical remedies, there is a softer alternative that involves more intermediate steps to stop dyeing gradually. What is it? "On the gray root, shadow effects are created: these are zigzag coloring techniques that aim to cover the whites in a less distinct way than a traditional technique. This results in less full coloring that will make future regrowth look increasingly shaded. To implement this method, however, you have to wait for a long regrowth of at least 3 centimeters."
How to treat white hair after abandoning dyes
A white hair is without melanin, which is the pigment that gives color to the shaft in addition to the skin. This deprivation (because for all intents and purposes it is) makes the hair fiber more fragile than a young hair
"If you decide to stop dyeing, you need to use reconstructive products that repair the hair fiber, making it silky and shiny. The best ones are those with plant keratin or wheat and rice proteins, which, among other things, prevent frizzy or shaggy hair."
Shampoo with blue or purple pigments?
In order to have natural shiny white hair, it is very important to take care of its color. "There are specific products that prevent white or gray from yellowing, a very frequent undesirable effect due to normal oxidation in contact with air. Just alternate your regular shampoo with an anti-yellow shampoo or, if you are more comfortable, opt for a conditioner or mask with purple or blue pigments."
How to choose products for white hair? "It depends on the "original" color: usually the hair of Mediterranean women tends to bring out an orange tone, even when you stop dyeing. In this case, you can neutralize the orangeiness of gray or white hair with products rich in blue pigments. Conversely, those who have had light brown or blond hair may tend to yellow: in this case, shampoos and conditioners with purple pigments are recommended."
